Hello, and welcome! My name is Adam. I am a Certified Fellow in Thanatology, and Grief & Bereavement Specialist.
Through research and experience, I’ve learned that the window of time after a loss has occurred, and after funeral services have concluded, is one of the most difficult parts of the loss/grief experience. I call this “The Adjustment Phase”. This is the period of time when we are jolted into finding ways to adjust to new lives without the people and things we’ve lost. Because of this, it’s the time when we need the most support.
It’s important that we remember: Grief is not an experience that can be “fixed”, and it can’t be “cured”. It can be explored mindfully, and it can be walked-through, and better-managed over time.
Whether you are experiencing grief after the loss of a spouse, a friend, a career opportunity, or the loss of ambition, your grief is valid, and I’m honored to have the privilege of walking beside you through your adjustment phase.
